Happy Friday!!!! After returning from Virginia Beach and realizing I have another half marathon in a month (Crawlin’ Crab ) I decided to go light on the workouts this week with no running activity. I’ll be honest, I was exhausted after the weekend and my legs were mush. I needed all the recovery time I could get. A massage was in order afterwards to get rid of some kinks and general soreness. I’ll get the half training “train” going in full swing next week.
Lots of goodness coming up this weekend. Tonight is ladies night as my girlfriends and I are going to see Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant in concert later this evening (yes, that IS one half of New Edition, holla!) hence the title of this post 😉
Saturday I am trying out a new class with Yoga Hikes DC. You heard that correctly. 90 minutes of Yoga + Hiking = Awesomeness. I just heard about this new workout activity but plan on having a full recap of that experience for you early next week.
And lastly, Sunday is FOOTBALL. Thank you NFL. If we have to lament the end of summer at least we get perfect running weather and football out of the deal. GO STEELERS!!

- Wednesday: Barbell (this week included deadlifts, squats, shoulder press, TRX rows, and lunges… owee, ow, ow but oh yeah…)
- Thursday: 3 mile neighborhood walk
- Friday: REST / concert
- Saturday: Yoga Hike (planned*)
