Friday Five – Hello November!

Last week the DC Trifecta started our first Friday Five link up!  If you have a Friday Five post make sure you join in on the fun this and every week with me, Eat Pray Run, DC and You Signed Up For What?!  It’s a regular TGIF party y’all!

On that note, Happy Friday and first day of November!!  I have no idea where October went but I’m ready for a new month and all that goes with it.  So what’s new?! My Friday Five will tell ya!

One

The Sweat Guru (lauded as the Open Table of fitness) launched sweat guruthis week and if you are in NYC, SF or LA (for now) check out the site and go get your fitness on!  Brought to you by the ladies who created the #SweatPink movement, of which I am a proud member of, it is an online fitness marketplace and your source for all things fitness.  Check out a quick article from SELF magazine here.

Two

A dear friend of mine who is an immensely talented writer, model, blogger, world traveler (former PA to Matt Damon) and all around good gal just released her second novel entitled Mid Coast Star.  This is a follow up to her first novel a few years ago both of which you can find on Amazon (and look for the Kindle version in about a week!)  I loved the first one and am dying to read the second!  Go Trinette!!!!  TF

Three

Disney. Princess. Medals.  Oh Em Gee…. Next February I’ll be participating in the Inaugural Glass Slipper Challenge – the Enchanted 10K on Saturday followed by my second time running the Princess Half on Sunday.  They just released the new medals for each event and the 3rd medal for the challenge.  BOOM: disney medals

Four

It is well documented that I L-O-V-E Froyo!  And guess who discovered a new Froyo place?!  (if you said this gal that’s 10 cool points).  Bloo-Moo is my new dream home.  And, since I’m all about new I tried the peanut butter flavored (along with my usual cake batter) and will forgive them for running out of strawberries but mm, mm, good: BlooMoo

Five

A couple weeks ago I introduced my 40 by 40 list.  One of the items on the list was tapping into my creative side, enjoying life’s surroundings and capturing this in a photo a day for a month (ok I made all that creative stuff up!)  I start with my favorite necklace, an initial charm I “lost” months ago in the move and just found again, yay!:

Follow me on Instagram to keep up with the daily photos!  I’ll recap at the end of the month.

So what’s new with you?  Happy Friday, Happy November, and don’t forget to…

  1. I LOVE the Disney medals!! And I’ll be anxious to hear your recap of those races– the Glass Slipper Challenge is on my racing “bucket list!”

    1. I am super excited! Had a great time at Princess this year and can’t wait for the “challenge”.. loving that glass slipper medal especially!

  2. Oh girl, I feel you on the froyo!! Every time there’s a LivingSocial deal or groupon, etc, we are all over that. On Wednesday, the daytime part was rough, and on my way home, I needed a little pick-me-up, so you know I made that stop! 🙂

    1. You’re welcome!! Good luck to you guys – you are doing really great things 🙂 !! #SweatPossible #SweatPink
