There are so many reasons to be at Fit Foodie but here are five I’m definitely looking forward to.
The people. I am pretty excited to mingle with elite athletes “Boston Bill” Rogers, four-time Boston Marathon and New York City Marathon Champion, and Caroline Rotich, winner of the 2015 Boston Marathon. I love meeting amazing athletes and hearing more about their experiences. Plus editors of Cooking Light and Health magazines and of course, my co-ambassadors Kathryn, Colleen, and Deborah.
The places. The Mosaic District is such a great area. I don’t get there often but it literally has everything you could possibly want for shopping, food and fitness. The Party with a Purpose on Friday evening will be at True Food Kitchen whose tagline is “Honest food that tastes really good”. Then there’s the post race festivities at the John Hancock Vitality Village. Followed by Sunday’s rooftop sweat session presented by Equinox.
The things. Oh the things… first, there’s the swag. Each participant receives a swag bag full of goodies from top health and wellness brands, discounts on Fit Foodie merchandise and new this year are finishers medals for all runner. There is also a premium registration option which includes a tank, donation to the Fit Foodie Run’s charity partner – the American Diabetes Association and a grand prize entry.
Then there’s the cocktails. Cupcake Wines, Chloe Vineyards and Flip Flops wine – just sayin…
And finally, the FOOD. It wouldn’t be a Fit Foodie weekend without the food, right? Samples and bites galore at the finish, including a beer and wine garden and cooking demonstrations. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it all. At this point I have to take a moment to shout out some of the ah-mazing sponsors. For the past few weeks the ambassadors have received a handful of “Acts of Kindness” packages from them. So grateful to represent the Fit Foodie Run again!
Wasa. I never knew how much I needed these crackers in my life until I received this package in the mail. They are all SO good but my favorites have to be the Rosemary and Sea Salt thins. Yeah, they’re already gone…
Lorissa’s Kitchen. I looooove jerky! There’s is made with pork, chicken or beef that is grass fed, no antibiotics and raised responsibly. This was my first time trying this brand but needless to say my Amazon cart is now full because I just had to have more. Szechuan Peppercorn is my new favorite. *affiliate link.
